Our Objectives
Cestria Community Housing Association is a not-for-profit organisation that provides reasonably priced accommodation in the Chester le Street District.
On Thursday, 16th February 2012 Martin Warhurst (Director of Finance & Corporate Services) welcomed 50 tenants to an event at Beamish Hall Hotel. The aim of the event was to look back at how far we have come together in the last four years, to thank our tenants for their commitment to tenant involvement, and to celebrate the fantastic achievements they have made as part of their different groups.
Come along and enjoy a chat.
Unlimited tea, coffee and biscuits free of charge
The Cestria Reference Group asked if future meetings could be held at other venues within the community.
We have held two group meetings within communal rooms and others are planned for the future.
Two of our Sheltered Resident Groups asked if they could have Wii games consoles installed to increase social activities within the units.
Wii games consoles have been installed and residents regularly participate in social activities. Additional installations are planned.
Tenants suggested they would like an appointment when reporting plastering repairs.
Working practices and procedures have changed and an appointment is offered to the tenant at the first point of contact or following an inspection.
Through the Annual Satisfaction Survey tenants told us they would like to see more issues being picked up during Estate Tours.
Estate Tours are being undertaken in a new way and as a result over 2000 actions were identified in the last series of tours which took place over the Summer months.
