Rob Jeffreys, Income Manager
I have worked in social housing for 6 years and joined Cestria Community Housing in March 2009 in my current role as Income Manager.
My working life began at a Newcastle law firm during my school holidays; I worked as a legal assistant in Ward Hadaway’s personal injury team then later between university terms as a paralegal in their debt recovery unit.
My housing career began in 2005, just before my final year at university. I took a summer job manning the reception desk at Hebburn Housing Office and during the holidays that followed as a repair clerk, cashier and housing officer.
In 2006 I graduated from the University of Cambridge and hold an MA in Land Economy – a combination of law, accountancy, economics and housing policy.
Having decided that housing management was my calling, I was lucky to leave university and immediately find work as an Estates Officer with South Tyneside Homes. Arrears management quickly became my favourite part of the job and in 2008 I transferred to the specialist Income Team.
I find my job as Income Manager, and working for Cestria generally, really satisfying as we continue to deliver positive outcomes for our customers.
