Our Objectives
The overall role of the Equality and Diversity Working Group (EDWG) is to inform, advise and assist Cestria Community Housing Association in all aspects of policy-making, service delivery and employment to meet obligations under the Equality and Diversity legislative and regulatory framework and to mainstream the promotion of equality and diversity in practice throughout the Association.
Equality and Diversity Working Group meets on monthly basis. The membership of the Equality and Diversity Working Group includes a minimum of one representative from each service area including Board Champion and Officer Champion. We may co-opt members, as and when specialist advice or expertise is needed.
The Group may work in ad-hoc sub-group(s) if required to deliver on Equality and Diversity agenda, we may also involve our tenants to take part in these sub groups. For details on current consultation opportunities please visit our Consultation and Events page.
The E & D Champions are responsible for promoting, challenging behaviour and mainstreaming equality and diversity across the association. The following members of the Board and staff are currently serving on the Equality and Diversity Working Group:
