Edenfield Communal Room
In February 2011 Paul Tinnion, Chair of Cestria Community Housing, was joined by former Sunderland AFC goalkeeper, Jim Montgomery to officially open the Edenfield communal room in West Pelton, Chester-le-Street.
Edenfield has fantastic community spirit and their timetable is extremely busy. No one at West Pelton needs to be lonely, there is so much going on at the communal room from BINGO to all day social gatherings (Edenfield timetable).
Jim Montgomery, known as the goalkeeper who pulled off the most famous double save in an FA Cup Final, said: “Communal rooms such as Edenfield bring communities together. You can feel a sense of pride amongst residents and staff - there is a real buzz about the place.
