Our Objectives
There are presently five new refurbished Community Centre/Communal Rooms open for residents to use. These include Holyoake, Lambourne Close, Auckland, Gibside and Edenfield.
All of our community buildings are now compliant with the Disability and Discrimination Act, and we have gone that extra mile by lowering kitchen work surfaces and painting door frames a darker colour than the walls to aid partially sighted people and we have purchased a wheelchair for each communal room to ensure those with mobility problems are able to still enjoy the many activities going on in the communals rooms.
In addition, each of our refurbished communal rooms also have brand new state of the art computers with internet access. For security issues all of our communal rooms are fitted with hi-tech security systems that when activated alert the police immediately.
