Job Application Guidance Notes
Please read these guidance notes carefully before completing your application.
Disabled applicants may apply using an alternative format e.g. on tape, in Braille. You should provide the same information, in the same order, as requested on this application form.
Complete all sections of the form if possible. If you cannot complete any part of the form, mark it ‘not applicable’.
Curriculum Vitae’s (CV’s) are not accepted. If you enclose a CV it will be removed prior to shortlisting.
The additional information section is your opportunity to show how you meet the criteria set out in the Role Profile. Your application form will be measured against the essential and desirable criteria when selecting a shortlist of applicants for interview. You should use this section to clearly demonstrate your suitability for the post by providing examples of how you meet the criteria.
Please provide details of at least two referees for whom you have worked before, covering a three-year period. One referee must be your current or recent employer. If you are in, or have just completed, full-time education one referee should be from your School/College.
Please note that in the interests of efficiency, applications received are not acknowledged unless you enclose a stamped addressed envelope with your application for this purpose.
If you have not been invited to interview within six weeks of the closing date, you should assume your application has been unsuccessful.
It is your responsibility to ensure you pay the correct postage. Insufficient postage may mean that your form is received after the closing date and therefore not considered when shortlisting.
