Employability

We offer our residents help and support to get back to work. We can help you gain employability skills and confidence setting you back on the path to employment.

Our Employability Worker Alison Kirk can provide free, tailored, face-to-face employment support to anyone living in the Chester-le-Street area.

She can help identify and create an action plan to help you reach your employment goals – whether that be getting back into work, finding a new job, or moving into a job with more/different hours.

Gain access to a range of support, such as:

  • Creating a detailed, goal-oriented action plan
  • Job searching
  • Creating or developing a CV
  • Job application forms
  • Finding training opportunities
  • Identifying access funding
  • Interview support and mock interviews
  • Finding work experience opportunities

All of this can be accessed for FREE by all residents of Chester-le-Street.

To arrange an appointment, please contact Alison Kirk on 07825 724635 or email jobhelp@cestria.org

Or come along to our Job Club every Monday morning from 10am – 12.30pm at Bullion Hall. It is a drop in session, so you can come for just an hour or stay all morning.

Our employability service is part funded by the NE Procurement Future Sparks project and the Chester-le-Street Area Action Partnership (part of Durham County Council)
